Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This policy defines the purposes for which VoipTrek services may not be used. Its goal is to protect the network, other subscribers and called parties. This policy is an integral part of the Terms of Service.
Prohibited uses
- Unsolicited calls (spam/robocalls): Bulk automated calls without the recipient's prior consent, harassing calls with pre-recorded messages, and calls in breach of commercial electronic message regulations (IYS in Turkey).
- Caller ID spoofing: Presenting a caller ID you are not authorized to use, or hiding/manipulating it in a misleading way.
- Fraud: Impersonating public institutions, banks or other organizations; vishing and any other fraudulent activity.
- Traffic manipulation: Artificial traffic generation, International Revenue Share Fraud (IRSF), grey routes (bypass/SIM box) traffic.
- Harassment and threats: Repeated nuisance calls, threatening or abusive communications.
- Illegal content and activity: Using the service for any activity contrary to the laws of the Republic of Turkey or the destination country.
- Security violations: Unauthorized access attempts against networks and systems, denial-of-service attacks, vulnerability scanning.
Bulk calling and call center use
Subscribers making automated/bulk calls warrant that their calling lists comply with applicable consent requirements (IYS in Turkey), that called parties are removed from lists upon request, and that calls are not made at unsociable hours.
In case of violation
Upon detecting a violation, VoipTrek may limit traffic, suspend the service or terminate the agreement. Fraud and spoofing cases are reported to the relevant authorities. Suspicious traffic may be temporarily blocked by automated systems until the subscriber is informed.
